2. Phinney Ridge – The Phinney Farmers Market, 6532 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, 98103 in the upper parking lot at the Phinney Neighborhood Association. Every Friday, June through September. The Phinney Farmer Market works with local food banks to provide easier accessibility to fresh and healthy foods. Doing your Sunday shopping and buying your weekly produce? West Seattle – Postcards 4 Democracy Saturday gatherings – C & P Coffee – 5612 California Ave SW, Seattle, 98136, Aug 1, 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm – Join us at C&P Coffee – 12:30-2:30 pm on the first Saturday of each month to write postcards that support Democrats and activists! 5. Fremont Sunday Market, 3401 Evanston Ave N. Seattle, 98103 – 10 am – 4 pm Great local craft vendors to support, definitely some cool vintage items to check out, and lots of yummy food and produce! It’s the biggest weekly outdoor market in the greater puget sound area. (Food till 2 pm). If you haven’t been to the Fremont Street Market at least once, do yourself a favor and go, there’s a lot to check out, theres’s a lot to see, and it’s a lot of fun.
6. Green Lake, 7201 Green Lake Dr. N. Seattle, 98103 – Paddle Boating and Kayaking – Paddle boat or Kayak on the calm waters of Green Lake while you take in the beautiful, tranquil, and mature nature that surrounds you. Watch as the joggers, cyclists, and rollerbladers make their way around the lake as you float, perhaps enjoying your iced Americano from the Boathouse Coffee Shop!
7. Chinatown-International District – CID Summer Food Walks – 423 Maynard Ave S. Seattle, 98104— July 25 – August 29, 11 AM – 4 PM. Calling all food lovers! Come and eat some great food and check out some restaurants you may have not been to before at the CID Food Walk. Participating businesses across Chinatown-International District will offer special $6 and $8 bites as well as other discounts. The Food Walk is a great way to eat some great foods and to support local, independent neighborhood businesses.
Stop by the info booth at Hing Hay Park to pick up a printed menu. Map out your route, just don’t get too full before you get to your last stop!
8. PhinneyWood Art Walk – Location Hub: Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) (6532 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103. August 14 and 15, 2026, Friday, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Saturday, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Take a leisurely stroll through the Phinney Ridge and Greenwood neighborhood, (the middle of the street actually!) and take in a beautiful showcase of artists, and the local businesses that help make our Greenwood Ave N. into our own walkable gallery. You can meet the artists, and find unique works of art – you’ll find everything from paintings and prints, to ceramics, jewelry, and more. Should you care to partake, there’s also special food and drink offerings from participating local neighborhood cafés, restaurants, and bars that we all know and love, along the route.
9. Alki Beach – Head on down to beautiful Alki Beach and rent a fun tandem bike for 2 or 4(!), or an electric bike, and ride along beautiful Alki beach and the shores of the Sound while you take in our awesome city skyline. You could grab lunch from a great local restaurant, or fresh fruit fruit or an Agua Fresca from a local a local vendor!
10. Pike Place Market, 85 Pike St. Seattle, 98101 – Play tourist for a day and rediscover it! Get there before the crowds arrive, go through both levels, check out the shops you haven’t been to in years, maybe the comic book shop on the lower level, the magic shop up on the first floor? How about some of the vendors you haven’t visited in years? Have lunch somewhere cool, Lowell’s anyone? Maybe you just snack the whole way through until you’re full! Rediscover the Pike Place Market, it’s YOUR market! 🙂
